Terms of Service
Domain Names Terms
Nominet is the authority responsible for managing most .uk domain names. As a Nominet Channel Partner, we are authorised to register domain names in the .uk namespace on behalf of our customers. This includes domains ending with any of the following: .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, me.uk, ltd.uk, .net.uk and .plc.uk.
When registering a domain in the .uk namespace through us, you agree to be bound by Nominet's terms and conditions. We will remind you of these terms at domain registration and renewal.
Registration and Renewal Fees
We will register .uk domains for any period between 1 and 10 years as requested by our customers ("Registrants"). Our current fee for a new 1-year registration is £8.50. For a 2-year registration, our fee is £12. For each year after that, we currently charge an additional £4.50 per year. For example, our fee for a 10-year registration, is only £48. When the end of the registration period is approaching, we will invite you to renew your domain for the same price as a new registration would be at the time of renewal.
The above fees may not apply if your domain is included with a hosting or other package or deal you have purchased from us. In this instance, your domain will remain registered and will be renewed together with your hosting account or in accordance with the terms set out when purchasing hosting services from us. If you decide not to renew such a hosting account at the end of its given period, you will be invited to renew your domain separately in which instance, the above fees will come into force. Domains included with our hosting accounts will be renewed on an annual basis in line with the renewal cycle for your particular hosting account.
When the end of your registration period is approaching, we will send you our invoice for renewal at least 1 month before expiry and a reminder email again as the expiry date approaches. We will send the emails to the email address held for you on the account. It is the Registrant's responsibility to ensure their contact details are up to date and we take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect. If you do not wish to renew a domain please make sure you contact us a minimum of 14 days before your domain expires by emailing us via our contact form, selecting the 'Domains & Hosting' option.
If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date it will have all services we provide suspended and you will have up to 30 days (protected period) after which to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee. After 30 days your domain will be suspended and will go into a 60 day grace period during which you can still renew your domain name but with an additional redemption fee of £10. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired, after 90 days your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar. We will not guarantee the renewal of a domain name.
Contract Termination and Domain Transfers
If you no longer wish to carry on with your contract with Kirrane, please email us via our contact form (selecting the 'Domains & Hosting' option) no less than 30 days before your services are due to be renewed. Your account will only be deemed as terminated once all outstanding balances have been paid in full.
Domains will only be considered for transfer once all balances have been settled including any reasonable costs which we may have incurred. We will not charge you for transferring your domain(s) away to another registrar’s tag. You, the customer (and "Registrant"), acknowledge that termination of the agreement for any reason will result in the cessation of applicable services, with the consequences that flow from such cessation, including (but not limited to), deletion of data .e.g. hosting account(s) and mailboxes.
If you are considering transferring your domain because you wish to point it elsewhere or require technical changes to be made, please note that it may not be necessary to change registrars. If you require any changes to your domain, we always advise customers to contact us in the first instance via our contact form, (selecting the 'Domains & Hosting' option) and we will do our best to assist you.

We strive to offer a personal service. When you contact us we will respond to your enquiry within 5 working days. For maintenance requests and other enquiries, we will advise when these are likely to be fulfilled and resolved.
